1. Fat
1.1 Summary of fat
Fat, as an important nutrient substance for energy supply and storage, is necessary to all animals. It participates in animal organism constitution and provides necessary fatty acid. It has nutritional physiological action of adjusting metabolism. The energy content of fat is 2.25 times than carbohydrate. It not only meets the demand of higher energy concentration to animals, but also supplies extra energy effect. It improves energy utilization rate and net energy value of feedstuff, production performance of animals, and anti-heat stress ability. As fat is a solvent of fat-soluble vitamin and pigment, it promotes absorption and utilization of such materials and help to put colour on, like animal skin, shank, yolk yellow. If add specific fat with rich polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA), it will enrich animal products with special PUFA, like DHA, EPA. Then turn out animal products with specific value of healthcare. To add fat into animal feed have many other functions besides above nutritive functions, like decrease dust, improve appearance of feed; reduce mechanical wear to prolong its life, lower cost, etc. Therefore, fat is a necessary feedstuff to young, growing or high-producing animals.
1.2 Influence factors to digestion and absorption of fat
1.2.1 Different bioavailability to diffenent fat. (Table 1)

It is mainly because diffenent fat kind has diffenent saturation and length of fatty acid chain, which cause such big difference in efficiency. The higher the fat saturation (S value) of daily ration is, the lower the U/S value will be, and the utilization rate of relevant daily ration will be lower, too.
1.2.2 The more addition of the same fat is, the lower bioavailability will be
With the increase of fat addition, its digestibility decrease rapidly. For example, when addition reaches 3%, compared with the addition 1.5%, the digestibility lowers 15%-25%, because the excess addition surpasses animal digestive ability.
1.2.3 With different age in days, health and growth condition of animals, the bioavailability of fat is different
The smaller age in days of animals is, the lower availability of fat is. The digestibility is influenced by animal health condition, too. The digestibility of young animals is still in process of growth, falling ill will also effect animal digestive system.
1.2.4 Compared with the extra addition of fat, the fat in feedstuff is lower too much in bioavailability
The fat in raw materials such as corn, soybean is in form of combination, its degestibility and absorptivity are lower. Extra addition of fat is in uncombined state, so its degestibility and absorptivity are higher.
1.2.5 Anti-nutrient factors
◇ Tannins decrease the digestibility of fat. If the concentration of crude fiber is at a high level, it will lower the activity of lipase.
◇ Phytic acid will lower the activity of lipase.
◇ Aflatoxin can effect activity of lipase and secretion of cholate. It will induce young animals’ steatorrhoea.
◇ Non-starch polysaccharides restrains activity of lipase.
2. Lipase
2.1 Summary of lipase
Lipase (Triacylglycerol lipase EC3.1.1.3) plays an important role in lipid metabolism process. It is the rudimentary enzyme during digestibility and absorption of fat. It can hydrolyze fat into free fatty acid, glycerin and monoglyceride for animals’ utilization. Monogastric animal can secrete lipase itself while the digestive function of young animal is incomplete, its endogenous digestive enzyme secrete insufficiently. So the absorptivity of fat is low. At the same time, the utilization rate of fat is related to the length of fatty acid chain, the connection position of glycerin trilaurate and the saturation of fatty acid in fat. The values of adding lipase into feed include targeted supplement the insufficiency of endogenous digestive enzyme, improving the absorptivity and utilization rate of fat, decreasing animal intestinal diseases, promoting absorptivity of fat soluble vitamin, exerting animals’ production potential, and lowering the feed cost. Therefore, focusing on the digestion and absorption of fat in feedstuff is not only to improve the fat nutrient efficiency, but also to improve the holistic efficiency of feed.
2.2 Meanings of adding lipase into feed
Lipase can improve the absorption and utilization rate of fat and the energy utilization of feedstuff effectively during the growth process of pig, chicken, duck, fish, etc. It will also supplement necessary nutrient substance such as essential fat acid, fat soluble vitamin and pigment to animal.
(1) It supplements insufficiency of endogenous digestive enzyme, especially for young animals and those with imperfection growth in gastrointestinal tract. It improves digestive ability of young animals to lay the foundation for later growth.
(2) Animals utilize fat incompletely, especially animal fat and mixed fat with lower U/S ratio. It can improve the utilization of those kinds of fat if add lipase into feedstuff properly.
(3) Feed with high fat content will usually cause a difficulty in producing and manufacturing. And it may possibly cause incompletely use of fat and animal diarrhea. Therefore, the lipase should be added into feedstuff.
(4) Adding lipase into feed will improve animal skin condition. The skin and hair will be more lustrous.
(5) Promote the absorption and utilization of fat-soluble vitamin and other microelement. Improve the quality of meat, egg and milk.

2.3 Misunderstanding of using fat/lipid in feed
(1) Lack of enough knowledge about application of fat. As we know, animal species, age, physiological stage, fat kind, processing conditions of fat, storage life, etc, all of these have great effect on utilization rate of fat.
(2) Too much mineral elements in feedstuff, especially calcium and magnesium, will cause formation of soap in intestinal canal and be excreted directly. This is part of the reasons that the fat can not be digested sufficiently. Therefore, the mineral elements standard should be paid attention in feedstuff with high fat.
(3) Normally addition of superior fat is neglected because it is considered that the effect of adding fat into young animal feedstuff is not obvious.
(4) The anti-stress effect of fat is often neglected in morbid appearance, stress state (bitter cold, canicule, rapid growth), sows during lactation, and cows during high-yield.
(5) Some culturists add too much fat into feedstuff for a higher growth speed and production performance in practice without considering the digestibility.
3. Lipozyme

4. Lipozyme (Application of Lipozyme to broilers, for other experiment please contact with us for details)
4.1 Poultry
This trial was divided into seven treatments. Groups based on different energy level of feedstuff were normal (PC), -50kcal/kg (NC1), -100kcal/kg (NC2), -150kcal/kg (NC3). Add Lipozyme 200g/t in lower energy groups. The normal energy group kept usual feed energy level of birkin chicken (2.9kcal/kg for prior period and 3.05kcal/kg for later). 8 repetitions were done for each treatment and 12 Kebao meat-type rooster for each repetition.
The trial was carried in the testing field of Animal Nutrition Institute Sichuan Agricultural University. It started from Nov. 31, 2010 and finished on Jan. 11, 2011. The trial period are 42 days (refer to the bar chart bellow).
Conclusions
(1) With the lowering of energy level in feedstuff, the weight of poultry bring down obviously. Add Lipozyme into feedstuff can improve the weight of poultry. The weight kept with the level of PC group (normal) when adding Lipozyme into NC1 group (-50kcal/kg).
(2) With the decreasing of energy level in feedstuff, feed/gain (F/G) will increase obviously. Adding Lipozyme into feedstuff can improve utilization rate of feed, lower F/G. In NC1 group (-50kcal/kg), the F/G was not influenced after adding Lipozyme but reached the normal level of group (PC).
(3) Adding Lipozyme in feedstuff can lower the feeding cost. According to cost calculation of this trial, 15 RMB/t had been saved.
(4) Lowering the energy level for 50kcal/kg and adding Lipozyme 200g/t in feedstuff, the production performance of poultry can be improved, and the feeding cost will be reduced.

Store in original package under sealed, room temperature condition for 12 months to solid form.
Avoid to be exposed to the sun, rain, high temperature and high humidity.
