Protein ingredients represent one of the largest cost contributors in animal feed formulations, typically accounting for 50–55% of total feed costs. However, incomplete protein digestion caused by limited endogenous enzyme activity and anti-nutritional factors in feed ingredients can reduce nutrient utilization and negatively impact animal performance.
Undigested proteins may accumulate and ferment in the hindgut, potentially leading to intestinal disorders, diarrhea, reduced feed efficiency, and increased nitrogen emissions to the environment.
Protezyme-BP100 is a next-generation feed-grade protease developed by Habio in collaboration with leading research institutions, including Korea National Academy of Agricultural Science, Sichuan University, and Sichuan Agricultural University. Through advanced strain screening and extensive animal validation trials, Protezyme-BP100 was specifically designed to enhance protein digestibility, improve amino acid utilization, and support intestinal health in modern animal production systems.
By maximizing the nutritional value of protein feed ingredients, Protezyme-BP100 helps producers improve feed efficiency, optimize formulation flexibility, and support sustainable livestock production.
One unit (U) of Protezyme-BP100 is defined as the amount of enzyme required to hydrolyze casein and release Folin-positive amino acids and peptides equivalent to 1 μg of tyrosine per minute under the conditions of pH 10.5 and 40°C.
