Pectin is an adhesion substance existing in plant cell walls and cells, which is linked by α-1,4 bonds of galacturonic acid. Animal intestinal lacks lignin and pectin decomposition enzymes, in mature plant cell walls, cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin and pectin closely together, greatly reducing the digestibility of cell wall material, pectin also hinders the action of some enzymes on cellulose and hemicellulose, so under the synergistic action of pectin decomposition enzymes can efficiently degrade cellulose and hemicellulose.
Habio Pectinase is a pectinase using microbial (Aspergillus niger) fermentation technology and advanced post-processing technology, also has activity of both cellulase and hemicellulase, can effectively hydrolyze pectin and fiber polysaccharide.
Its main functions are:
One Pectinase Unit (U/g) is defined as the 1g of solid enzyme powder (or 1mL of liquid enzyme) decomposes pectin in 1h to produce 1mg of galacturonic acid at 50℃ and pH 3.5.
