Soybean meal and other plant protein ingredients contain α-galactosides such as raffinose and stachyose that can negatively affect digestive performance in monogastric animals. Because poultry and swine lack sufficient endogenous α-galactosidase, these anti-nutritional oligosaccharides pass into the hindgut where excessive microbial fermentation may lead to intestinal gas, diarrhea, and reduced feed efficiency.
Habio α-Galactosidase is developed to effectively degrade these anti-nutritional factors and improve the digestibility of plant-based diets. By reducing intestinal fermentation pressure and supporting a healthier gut environment, the enzyme contributes to better nutrient absorption, feed utilization, and production performance.
One α-galactosidase Unit (U/g) is defined as the amount of enzyme required to release 1 μmol of p-nitrophenol from 10 mmol/L p-nitrophenol-α-D-galactopyranosyl per minute at 37℃ and pH 5.0.
