Insufficient starch digestion can reduce nutrient availability and limit production performance in poultry and livestock. Resistant starch structures in grains such as corn and wheat may also decrease feed efficiency and increase nutrient waste.
Habio α-Amylase is designed to improve starch degradation and energy release in feed formulations. The enzyme efficiently hydrolyzes both branched and straight-chain starch, helping improve digestibility, feed efficiency, and animal growth performance. Its strong heat resistance and pH adaptability make it suitable for pelleted feed production systems.
One α-amylase Unit (U/g) is defined as the liquefaction of 1g of soluble starch in 1 hour at 60°C and pH 6.0.
