Starch is one of the primary energy sources in animal feed, accounting for 60–80% of the dietary energy supply in monogastric animals. However, starch digestibility is often limited by resistant starch structures, feed processing conditions, and insufficient endogenous amylase activity under stress and intensive production systems.
Habio α-Amylase is a high-efficiency feed enzyme developed to promote starch hydrolysis and improve nutrient digestibility in poultry and livestock feed. By breaking down complex starch molecules into more digestible sugars, the enzyme enhances energy utilization, improves feed conversion efficiency, and supports animal growth performance. The product also demonstrates excellent thermostability and pH tolerance for modern feed processing applications.
One α-amylase Unit (U/g) is defined as the liquefaction of 1g of soluble starch in 1 hour at 60°C and pH 6.0.
