Product Overview

Mianyang Habio Bioengineering Co.,Ltd, successfully developed Habio Xylanase by liquid submerged fermentation after years of repeated research and testing. The major role of Habio Xylanase is to eliminate anti-nutrient effect of xylan in animal feed and improve the digestibility of feed, which will increase utilization of unconventional feedstuffs, reduce feed costs and improve feed efficiency.

Definition of Activity

The amount of enzyme required to degrade and release 1 µmol reducing sugar from 5 mg/mL xylan solution per minute at 37℃, pH 5.5 is defined as one unit of enzyme activity (U).

Anti-nutrient Effect of Xylan

Arabinoxylan (AX) belongs to non-starch polysaccharide (NSP), is one kind of hemicellulose that exists in many plant feeds. Based on the solubility, it can be divided into WEAX (Water-extractable Arabinoxylan, around 25%-30%) and WUAX (Water-unextractable Arabinoxylan, around 70%-75%).

1. Increasing viscosity of the chyme in gastrointestinal tract,reducing the interaction of nutrient and endogenous enzymes, thus slowing down the rate of diffusion of nutrients.
2. Augmenting the chyme moisture and increasing harmful microbial fermentation in hindgut, thus lowering nutrient utilization efficiency and causing diarrhea.
3. Xylan will combine with digestive enzymes (such as intestinal trypsin, lipase) and bile acid, thus reducing the endogenous digestive enzymes activity and affecting digestibility.
4. Nutrients (starch, protein, etc.) are enwrapped by xylan, thus reducing the feed nutrition value.

Product Characteristics

a. The combination of high activity of endo-xylanase and exo-xylanase efficiently acts on soluble and insoluble xylan at the same time with high efficiency of hydrolysis.

b. Better thermostability than general fungal xylanase. The relative enzyme activity remains over 80% at 80℃ of pelleting temperature. Strong pH tolerance in pH2.5-7.5, strong resistance to digestive enzymes and high storage stability;
c. Habio xylanase has high activity from 30℃-75℃, the optimum temperature is 60℃.

d. Habio xylanase has high activity from pH4.5-7.5, the optimum is pH=6.5.

e. Optimized strain fermentation, advanced liquid submerged fermentation and post-process treatment, good stability and high efficiency.
