Beta-Glucanase Reducing Viscosity Of Chime, Improving The Nutrients Digestibility And Usage



Habio βeta-glucanase using microbial liquid submerged fermentation, can hydrolyze beta-glucan in plant feed ingredients to enhance utilization of nutrients in animal feed, such as energy, crude protein, amino acids, etc.



Definition of Activity


One unit (U) of glucanase is defined as the quantity of enzyme, which liberates 1μmol reducing sugar per minute from 4mg/mL β-glucan solution at 37℃, pH5.5.


Anti-nutrient Effects of β-glucan


Beta-glucan, as a kind of non-starch polysaccharide (NSP), is one of the most important anti-nutritional factors in wheat and feed meal materials (Table1).

1. Plant cell wall contains a high amount of β -glucan, which can "wrap" nutrients and reduce the rate of nutrient diffusion and contact with digestive enzymes, thus reducing the utilization rate of nutrients;

2, Increase the viscosity of chyme, and will absorb water to increase the volume of the intestine, reduce the diffusion rate of enzymes and substrates, hinder the digestion of nutrients close to the surface of the intestinal mucosa, and ultimately reduce the digestibility of nutrients;

3. Bind with glycoproteins on the mucosal cells of the small intestine to form a thickened immobile water layer, limiting its absorption rate;

4, It can be combined with some digestive enzymes, bile salt, affect these substances to assist digestion.


Product Characteristics


  1. High glucan specificity, especially having a significant degradation of glucan in corn, wheat and other gramineous feed materials.
  2. Optimum temperature is 60℃.
  3. Optimum pH is 3.5 - 6.5.
  4. Processed by Water Bath: Keep staying 5min at different temperature condition.
  5. pH resistance: Keep staying 90min at different pH condition.
  6. Trypsin and Pepsin resistance:

Keep staying at Trypsin-Pepsin solution for 5.5 hours, the enzyme retention rate is 85.55%.

Product Functions


1, The efficient and specific degradation of β -glucan, improve the nutrient digestibility of plant raw materials, especially wheat and meal, improve the production performance of livestock and poultry;

6, Reduce the occurrence of livestock and poultry "paste anus" phenomenon, make feces easy to clean, reduce the excretion of manure nitrogen.

Package and Storage
