Habio βeta-glucanase using microbial liquid submerged fermentation, can hydrolyze beta-glucan in plant feed ingredients to enhance utilization of nutrients in animal feed, such as energy, crude protein, amino acids, etc.
Definition of Activity
One unit (U) of glucanase is defined as the quantity of enzyme, which liberates 1μmol reducing sugar per minute from 4mg/mL β-glucan solution at 37℃, pH5.5.
Anti-nutrient Effects of β-glucan
Beta-glucan, as a kind of non-starch polysaccharide (NSP), is one of the most important anti-nutritional factors in wheat and feed meal materials (Table1).

1. Plant cell wall contains a high amount of β -glucan, which can "wrap" nutrients and reduce the rate of nutrient diffusion and contact with digestive enzymes, thus reducing the utilization rate of nutrients;
